Belgium is located in the centre of Europe. The capitol is Brussels, also known as the capitol of Europe. The neighbors of Belgium are the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, France, and Germany.
It has been a hereditary constitutional monarchy since 1830.

Now, Belgium is a federal state.
There are 2 main communities "Vlaanderen" where Dutch is the language, and "La Wallonie" where French is spoken. The third community is "Die Ostkantone". It is very small. Here the people speak German.

Belgium is a great place to visit. There are beautiful art cities like Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels. There is a nice seacoast with sandy beaches and dunes. The mild maritime climate makes the Belgian coast suitable as a holiday destination all year round. In the Ardennes you find a beautiful forest and picturesque little villages.

And the Belgian food is excellent. It is highly regarded throughout Europe. And don't forget to taste the Belgian beers and chocolates. You will love them!
